Samayapuram Mariamman temple.  From Trichy Chathiram Bus Stand 15 kms away this Samayapuram Mariamman temple is available.  


Always we need something for that we will do fasting.  But this Mariamman doing fasting for the people that is called "pachai pattini"  It will start in tamil month "Masi  last sunday .


This temple idle is made of medicinal  leaves hence there is no abishekam.    To keep this goddes always in cool in her room is surrounded by flood.

More than 300 years old temple which is located in a busy area of Parrys in Rasappa Chetty Street.


In this temple every year lakh lakh people and coming and getting the blessings.  Lord muruga with his wife valli & daivanai is the main god.  Vinayagar is separately sitting in this temple


Special days like Thaipusam, Kandasasthi, Panguni uthram are celebrating in this temple .

DEEPAM .. WILL TALK

You may laugh after reading the heading.  But this has come in to my own life.  But to day I read this in a news paper too.  Hence I would like to share my experience to you.


One of our pandit told me to do this prayer.  I did , I benefited.  Please you too follow and get the benefit.


In a no moon day (amavasai) you please light a deepam with Cow ghee and ginglee oil and the thread should be lotus plant thread (which is regularly available in all the shops)


You sit straight on a mat and look at the deepam and chant the following mantras for 108 times.


"Om hireem srim namo bagavati deepika jothi souropini akarshya akarshya vava swaha "



"ஓம் ஹ்ரீம் ஸ்ரீம் நமோ பகவதி தீபிகா ஜோதி சொரூபணி
ஆகர்ஷய ஆகர்ஷய வாவா ஸ்வாஹா"

You do this continuously for 180 days that is 6 months you can see that the deepam (jothi) will talk to you, you will get the solutions for your problems and you will not get obstacles in your life.

One thing, while doing this please do not drink or eat non-veg items,

5TH ONE DAY MATCH - INDIA WON

Today match in Chepauk stadium make the cricket fans in to flying.


India won by 34 runs leading.


Thiwari completed his first 50 in this match.  The team completed 50 overs at 267 runs 6 wickets.


West Indies lost its all wickets in 44th over and got only 231 runs.

KARTHIGAI DEEPAM

To-day is Karthigai deepam.


Karthigai deepma is a lighting of lampson the Kritika on Kartigai natchathiram (star)


Popular belief is that the day is birthday of Lord Muruga.  We can also light the deepam for happy married life and well being of the children
Karthigai deepam and lord muruga also known as skanda, subramaniya, kartik was born as six different babies to Lord siva after he awoke from the deep meditation after goddes sati's death.  The six babies were looked after by the six kritika stars and the six children were later joined to a single force by Goddess parvathi.  In tamil culture we call it as Arumugam.  Another legent that lamps lit symbolically represent knowledge, victory, and peace.  Muruga or Kumaraguru is believed to have taught the meaning of OM to Lord siva.  Thus the lamps lit on the day are in remembrance of sharing the knowledge of "OM"  helps to enlightenment and emancipation  Another legend King bali surrendered before Lord Vishnu, King bali attained moksha by surrendering all his wealth and himself to Lord vishnu.  Special offeres are made from puffed rice and beaten rice is believed to be due to this legend.
Another popular legend associated with this is Lord shiva appearing the in the form of Lingodhbhava - a pillar of fire with no end and beginning.  This is celebrated at the famous Tiruvannamalai Arunachaleswar temple as the Thiruvannamalai Deepam

Apart from the above Lord vishnu devotees observe  Vishnu Deepam


during the same period.  Anoter ritual observed during the period is Chokka Panai and Yaani Pandigai.
In Kerala the day is observed as Thrikartika.

Surya Yalamanchili, the second generation Indian who turned politician

He is the 29-year-old son of Indian parents who left their native state of Andhra Pradesh to pursue the dream of a better life in America. Not too many years later, their dream was realised. A risk-taker by nature, their young son started his own e-commerce company at the age of 15. This drive eventually led him to the hallowed halls of Procter and Gamble where he became one of their youngest brand managers. He was eventually spotted by Donald Trump’s much watched show, The Apprentice in 2007. At age 28, Surya Yalamanchili tried his hand at American politics, managing a minor win in the Congressional race. Today he is back to being an entrepreneur having recently started his own company. He lives and works in Cincinnati, Ohio


What does India represent for you?Ironically it represents both the past and the future to me. The past in relation to my parents and the way of life and experiences that they grew up with. The history of what my ancestors lives were like is fascinated to me. India also represents the future when you think of the rise of Asia in global economics and where the world is going.

What is it that makes you wake up and keep going?I'm motivated to have as big of an impact as I can in the world. A lot of people have sacrificed and invested so much in me, that not pushing forward on that impact would be wasting their efforts.

When the going gets tough, what is your mantra?If it was easy, everyone would do it. Almost everything really meaningful will require a lot of struggle and it'll be difficult. That's the price of trying to do something big.

What challenges you and how do you react to it? The biggest thing for me has, honestly, been self-doubt. Sometimes if you believe in something, you just have to have faith and be relentless in your pursuit. An obsessive, dogged tenacity is definitely a personality trait that has helped.

What according to you has been your biggest achievement?Just running for Congress might be it. In retrospect, I must have been a bit crazy/delusional to even attempt it. I don't think I realized the full magnitude of what I was trying to do. But once you're in it, you just push forward every day.

You've been on TV, in politics and a corporate honcho, which of these experiences has been the most enjoyable?They were each incredibly enriching experiences. I love and hate different aspects of all them, but I feel like the diversity of my life experiences make me better at everything I do. The business world is definitely the most rational of the three. 

Your favourite quote…There are too many. Here's one that I really appreciate lately from Steve Jobs' commencement speech at Stanford: "Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart." 

Who has been the one person to inspire you? Watching how hard my mom worked as I grew up is incredibly inspiring. But I truly believe that inspiration is everywhere around us. I see it every day and it fuels me.

If you weren't doing what you do, what would you be doing?Travel. I end up working through most years but start every year with the fantasy of extensive world travel. There's so much beauty and incredible things to learn and experience out there -- I'd love to take it all in.

The benefit of Pradosha viratham ( fasting on Pradosha day)

What is Pradosham?  After full moon and Amavasai (No moon day) "thrayodasi" didhi day is coming . That day is called Pradosha day.  If it is coming on Saturday it is called saturday pradosham and Krishnabatcha Thrayodasi means maha pradosham.


This Pradosham day you have to pray to Lord Shiva.   When in see so much poison has come out, If the good people will eat means they will die, to save those people and the world the Lord siva ate that poison, that time is called pradosha time.    The day when Lord siva ate that poison is Saturday.  Hence the important pradosha day is Saturday.  If it is coming on Monday that day is called Somavara Pradosham, If it is coming on Tuesday and Thursday it is called Guruvara Pradosham.


On the Thrayodashi day early morning after taking bath please pray Lord siva and please light deepam and prepare gingly rice and offer to god.  and in the evening visit siva temple especially on the pradosha time and pray to god and seek his blessings.


On the whole if you  are fasting means especially not talking with anybody means you will get all the goods things in your life.


Tomorrow in Pradosham,  Please do pooja and visit siva temple and get the blessings of Lord siva. Om Namshivaya

cancer fear for yuvraj .. his mother refused

Yuvraj is seeking treatment for a non-malignant tumour on his left lung, it was learnt today.

The Indian cricketer, who won the Man of the Tournament award during India's World Cup triumph, had earlier voluntarily withdrawn himself from the Mumbai Test which ended today.

His mother Shabnam released a statement today stating he had been having bouts of coughing and vomiting but ignored the problem thinking it to be a stress-related issue.
Yuvraj had pulled out of the West Indies tour on grounds of a chest infection. Since his problems persisted, he underwent medical tests after which it was revealed that he had a golf-ball sized growth on the lung.
The finger injury he sustained in England gave Yuvraj more time to assess the problem. Earlier, there were fears that the tumour could be malignant, Shabnam said.
"Further reports have indicated that the tumour is non-malignant and non-threatening and can be treated through proper medication and therapy. In medical terms, Yuvraj is now in a much better state and on his way to a full recovery," she said.
Yuvraj had earlier asked selectors not to consider him for the upcoming West Indies ODIs so that he could sort out his health issues.

REFLECTIONS

To-day some different topic my friend shared with me a week ago.  I did that exercise and found the results fruitful.

Hence I would like to share this to my friends.

EXERCISE is nothing but collection.  What collection.  Collection of your day events. Please be careful.  Do not put any comments on the events you did in the morning, do not feel regret for te events which happened already.  Just flash the reflections.  What happened through out the day  Just do your best as you can to recollect memories.  Just do 5 minutes. That's all.  

If you do everyday you yourself will feel to recollect even minute details within short span of 5 minutes.

THIS PROCESS IS CALLED REFLECTION.

ANNA CENTENARY LIBRARY HAS CONVERED IN TO CHILDREN SPECIALTY HOSPITAL

Recently the Tamil Nadu Government announced that Anna Centenary Library located at Kotturpuram is being modified as CHILDREN SPECIALTY hospital.  This Library construction started  in 2008 and took two years to complete and opened on September 20th 2010.  The total expenses incurred for the construction is approx 200 crores and it has total 9 floors.   THIS IS ALSO KNOWN AS ONE OF THE BIGGEST LIBRARY IN SOUTH ASIA.  The timings of the Library is 8 to 9 i.e. 13 hours.  Now the court granted stay for not to convert this library in to hospital .If the government wants to construct a new hospital means let them construct in some other place.  Face book fans also created a page on face book (occupy Anna Centenary Library)  where they want to start discussions.  .  They are very much sure that feedback would serve as evidence in the court as how helpful this place has been.
